Pulsation damper

As the main source of sound in a hydraulic system, a pump emits an airborne sound level through its housing and pressure pulsations through the pipes. These pressure pulsations continue through the pipelines throughout the system and transmit resonances to the housing and system parts.

The WM pulsation damper works in a similar way to a silencer. The irregularities of the volume flow flowing through the damper are reduced to about 10% of the original dimension. The lower vibration load also reduces the stress on the screw connections. Leakages therefore occur later.
